Dear BVVA Students and Families,
The month of November is short but busy! First of all, we are proud to announce another new staff member. As many of you already know, Mrs. Voge accepted a promotion with Fontana Unified School District. We were all sad to see her go, but wish her all the best of luck. In her place, we have hired Miss Rebecca Anderson as our new 6th-grade teacher. Rebecca is a Valencia IB program graduate who has worked for many years in PYLUSD as an AVID tutor and teacher. She did her student teaching in a fully remote setting and stood out against the competition when it came to using technology for effective classroom instruction. We are excited to have her join our team.
School Site Council (SSC) Meeting
The first SSC meeting of the year is tomorrow, November 9th from 3:30 to 4:30 pm. We have a couple of parent representatives but could use one more. If you are interested, or if you just want to attend the meeting, the link to the Zoom meeting is on the agenda linked here.
No Bullying: Stand Up - Step in! Assembly for K-6th Grade
Elementary students are invited to come for an in-person assembly on November 12th. The assembly brought to us by Mobile Ed Productions will be held in Room A of the PDA from 10:30 to 11:15 am. The assembly will not be recorded, but it will be live-streamed for students who can not attend live. The link to watch it live will be sent out ASAP.
Materials Pick-up
Sorry for the late notice, but we are planning the next materials pick-up on Friday, November 12th from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. This will be convenient for anyone coming to the assembly. If you can not make it on the 12th, no worries. Materials will be available for pick-up all next week inside the main entrance to the PDA.
Reminders:
Families can pick-up FREE weekly meals each Friday morning from 8:30 to 9:00am at the Food Services Office, just next door to BVVA. Meals must be ordered by Wednesday at 3:00pm each week online at Meal Order- BVVA Grab & Go Meals.
We have FREE youth bus passes in the BVVA office that are available on a first come, first served basis. These are only good for students aged 6 to 18 and are valid until February 28, 2022. Just come in and let us know how many you need.

November 11th - Veterans’ Day (no school)
November 12th - No Bullying Assembly for K-6th grades at 10:30 am in Room A
November 17th and 18th - K-6 Parent/Teacher Conferences (minimum day)
November 19th - K-6 Parent/Teacher Conferences (no school)
November 22nd to 26th - Thanksgiving Break (no school)
Now until December 18th - Senior Photos (need to be done before winter break)
