Dear BVVA Students and Families,
If you are anything like me, you can’t believe it is already December! I wanted to send out a sincere apology for those of you looking for your elementary student’s report cards in Aeries. The teachers did their jobs, but there was a technology glitch that meant parents could not see the information. This has been resolved, and they should all be visible to you now.
If you are a middle or high school student who ordered school pictures, they are available in the BVVA front/secondary school office. The office is open from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm each day.
Winter Holiday Arts and Crafts Make & Take Celebration
Please join us for the PTSA hosted winter holiday arts and crafts celebration on December 10th from 3:00 to 5:00 pm inside Room A and on the side patio area. This will be a fun, interactive holiday art and crafts making event. Each grade level will be hosting a craft table, and there will be hot cocoa and treats to enjoy. We can’t wait to see students at this fun make and take event!
PTSA Fundraisers: Yogurtland and Popcornopolis
The PTSA is holding two fundraisers in the coming weeks. The PTSA is the group that provides BVVA with some of the fun after-school events, like the Trunk-or-Treat and Holiday Art and Craft Celebration.
Bring family and friends to Yogurtland on Yorba Linda Boulevard between Richfield and Valley View from noon to 9:00 pm on Tuesday, 12/7, and let them know you are from BVVA when you order.
The Popcornopolis fundraiser is all online and orders will be delivered directly to your home. The fundraiser will officially run from Monday, 12/6, to Sunday, 12/12. You can place your orders online here: https://fundraising.popcornopolis.com/pages/buena-vista-virtual-academy-ptsa.
Materials Pick-up
The next materials pick-up for elementary students will be Friday, December 10th, from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm (we are cleaning up a bit early, so we can set up for the holiday event).
School Picture Make-up Day
If you were not able to come in for school pictures, and still want to be included in the yearbook, get an ID card, or purchase school pictures, Lifetouch is returning on December 16th from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm for make-up picture day. Make-up pictures will be held in the hybrid classroom behind the front/secondary office. You can find ordering information here or here.
In-Person Tutoring
Live, in-person tutoring is being provided at BVVA in the hybrid classroom behind the front/secondary office on Tuesdays each week. Elementary students can come for help from 1:00 to 2:30 pm and secondary students can come from 2:30 to 4:00 pm. There is no need to sign up, just bring your Chromebook and show up.
