Dear BVVA Students and Families,
I wanted to start this letter by reminding you about some student success options we have available for all students. We have free tutoring, school lunches, and we are officially re-launching our high school hybrid in-person option.
Free School Lunches
This year, BVVA students can order five (5) days' worth of lunches and snacks each week. These meals must be ordered online weekly by 3 pm on Wednesdays at www.pylusdnutrition.org under the menus tab. The pick-up is on Friday morning from 8:30 to 9:00 am at Nutrition Services, which is right next door to BVVA.
Free Tutoring
There is optional, free in-person tutoring available at BVVA each Monday from 1:00 to 3:00 pm for all 4th through 8th graders, and on Tuesdays from 1:00 to 2:30 pm for K-6th and 2:30 to 4:00 pm for 7th -12th students. Additionally, Paper online tutoring is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for all students in grades 3 through 12. To access this free support, students can go to the Paper app on Clever. Everything from math to essay writing help is available from trained tutors through Paper.
Valentines Day and Materials Pick-up
Our regularly scheduled materials pick-up day is happening on Friday, January 28th for all K-8th grade students. There will be a free lending library available for any students who want to pick up a new book to read! Also, if you want to drop off Valentines for your students' classmates, you can bring them on Friday or any day next week. Our Valentine's Day celebration is planned for Friday, February 11th. We will be “delivering” the Valentines on this day. More to come about this Fun Friday event in next week’s letter.
See’s Candy Fundraiser
Our See’s Candy Fundraiser is here, just in time for Valentine’s Day! You can order directly through this link and your chocolates will be delivered to your home, office, or directly to the person you admire with a message attached.
Spirit Wear Orders
Back by popular demand! We are reopening the spirit wear orders until Friday, January 28th. The process will be a little different this time around because we have minimum orders that need to be met before the vendor will process our request. Please print, fill out, and return the linked form to the BVVA office with a cash or check payment by Friday, January 28th. We will notify you when the items are ready to be picked up. If the minimum order is not met, orders will not be placed and order payments will be returned to you.
PTSA General Meeting
